Do you know Jesus?
Are you growing in Him?
God loves you and He has a plan for you!
The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that
He gave His only begotten Son, [Jesus Christ],
that whosoever believes in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life
and life more abundantly”
— a complete life full of purpose (John 10:10).
Here's the problem: man is sinful and separated from God.
We have all done, thought or said bad things, which the Bible calls “sin.” The Bible says, “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
The result of sin is death, spiritual separation from God (Romans 6:23).
SO, WHAT'S THE GOOD NEWS?
God sent His Son to die for our sins!
Jesus died in our place so we could have a relationship with God and be with Him forever.
“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
But it didn’t end with His death on the cross. He rose again and He lives forevermore and so will we!!
“Christ died for our sins. … He was buried. … He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures”
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said,
“I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by Me” (John 14:6).
Would you like to receive God’s forgiveness?
Of course you do! Why wouldn't you?
This is YOUR moment!
We can’t earn salvation; we are saved by God’s grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. All you have to do is admit that you are a sinner (we all are), that Christ died for your sins, and ask for His forgiveness. Then turn from your sins—that’s called repentance. Jesus Christ knows you and loves you.
What matters to Him is the attitude of your heart, your honesty. We invite you to pray the prayer below and accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour.
"For with the heart, man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:10
"Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died on the cross for my sins and that you raised Him from the dead to life, so that I can live free from sin, bondage, guilt, baggage, and shame. I want to trust Jesus as my Saviour and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. I surrender my life to You, Lord. Jesus, thank you for the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, guide and direct my life, heal me and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen."
If you've prayed to accept Jesus, we want to hear from you! The Bible says that the angels are rejoicing and it's party time in heaven because you chose Jesus and are now a child of God! (See Luke 15:10)
Resources to grow
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19-20
Now, you need a Bible. It is your spiritual food. Just like new babies need milk and food to grow, so will you in your spiritual journey. Just as we never outgrow that need for food, so we never outgrow our need to nourish our spirits daily on the Word of God. Just a few of the benefits of this are...
You will learn to hear and know God's voice and His will. The Bible softens our hearts, quickens our spirits, and teaches us to know Him!
The Word of God is a sword that cuts through even the toughest circumstances. It works even when you don't feel it or see it. It heals even the most broken hearts and delivers from the utmost darkness. The Word of God is called the Sword of the Spirit. You can not lose by reading it and declaring it out loud even when your mind doesn't fully grasp it's full meaning.
The Word of God develops intimacy and builds faith, renews your mind and transforms your thinking. This will produce a growth in the Spirit and an alignment with the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.
It is THE foundation of our spiritual life on which the Power of God, the divinely supernatural manifestations, and the gifts of the Spirit are exhibited and released.
Prayer, Baptism, and Worship
The Bible tells us that after we've accepted Christ Jesus and become a new creature, the old is passed away and the new is come (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are instructed by the Word of God to be baptized in water. This is a powerful and necessary next step for any believer in following Jesus! This is an outward act and expression of your inward decision, showing the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in YOU! Out of the old and into the NEW!
Prayer is conversation between you and God. Now, as a child of God, prayer is an important part of your life. To develop a relationship, there has to be conversation with truth and honesty. In prayer, there is also an important time of being quiet, listening to hear the voice of your loving Father. You can share your feelings, ask Him questions, present your needs, pray for your friends and family, and listen for His voice. It is a rewarding time of intimacy, healing, strengthening, and growth to those who take the time to pray. It's a good daily practice to set aside time as you build your relationship with your Father.
Worship is an expression of love to your Father. God is worthy of worship and now that your spirit is alive, you can worship Him in spirit and in truth. Worship is an expression of reverence, adoration, awe, and honor. It is is to honor Him above all other powers, material possessions, people, and our own selves. He is above ALL! Some ways to worship the Lord is through thanksgiving, praise, music, giving, obedience, surrender. As you're learning to worship God, one of the most powerful vehicles is worship music. Music pierces into the deep parts of our soul, can activate our inner man and is a way of expression to the Lord and response to His presence. (For a place to start, check out the worship music at the bottom of page.)
